Law Enforcement / First Responder Vehicle Control Program

This program will assist participants reduce their risk of being involved in a collision when responding to operational demands requiring driving beyond normal limits. The course builds upon skills learned in previous training courses and assists participants to coordinate vehicle handling skills with mental concentration, anticipation and planning through practical application. The training day incorporates classroom instruction with the primary focus placed on in-vehicle practical application. Strategies discussed in the classroom are applied practically using various activities designed to have the driver experience multiple weight transfers including preventative and corrective skid measures.

This training is only available to Government organisations with candidates who have completed previous practical defensive driver training.
